Beauty tips that I've learnt
x

The 8 types of skin lotion.

Whintening and Whintening(Light), Premium Whitening, Premium Hydrating,  Hydrating (light) , Blemish & Oil Control,Lifting & Firming,

The topic of the day mainly circling about Hydration. Hydration under different circumstances. The Beauty guru Liu Yen shared that in fact she has all the 8 bottles of them and used under different circumstances depending on the purpose, and how efficient you want it to be and for different skin types.

1. A newscaster by profession, Carol shared that the hectic and busy schedules often got her working tirelessly until the wee hours; and this causes her skin to develop visible fine lines around the eye area. While hydration is imperative to prevent aging, it is also crucial to use

products that are suitable to the skin type. The Hada Labo Lifting & Firming lotion serves as an ideal anti-aging skincare product, as it does not only help to improve and prevent visible fine lines, the lotion also strengthens skin elasticity.

2. Emily Chan said that her skin is susceptible to breakout easily due to her hectic schedule and irregular sleeping time. It trouble her when there are pimples as many steps are needed in doing make up to cover those pimple properly. She relys so much on different concealers to cover those  annoying pimples.
Taiwanese Beauty guru, Liu Yen  recommended her the green bottle of Blemish & Oil control Hydrating Lotion (green bottle lotion), used only when breakout happen. On the other time, normal daily routine a normal lotion will do.

The Blemish & Oil Control Hydrating Lotion is formulated to condition the skin’s oil production, fight blemishes and calm irritated skin while ensuring that skin remains fresh and hydrated all-day long.
Hence , she can apply with her bare fingers or make it into a mask. The skin will believed to be calm down within 1 or 2 days depend on the individual.

3. Jojo Goh, on the other hand, concerned that her skin feels unusually dry especially upon travelling, which could be due to the environmental change. Nevertheless, with proper hydration coupled with the right hydrating product, the skin feels hydrated and supple for longer hours without the need to layer an application of face mist.  Hada Labo’s Hydrating Lotion is ideal as it serves as a hydrating agent to lock-in moisture for a significantly soft, smooth and supple skin.

4. Jeffrey, as the only male artist among the celebritiy guests, asking questions for man.
He wondered if it is possible to have comprehensive skincare range like woman?
Or do men need to incorporate any other products in man’s skincare routine?

Especially among men, tend to forgo the fundamental steps of hydration in their skincare routine and opt for mask application right away.

Liu Yen: A person’s skincare routine should always include basic hydration steps – which are cleansing and hydrating; and Hada Labo’s hydrating lotion (light version: transparent bottle with a slice of mini green bar) is ideal for men as it comes with light texture that absorbs quickly into skin.

The event then ended with lucky draw to the joining audience. And yours truly, Me. I am so lucky to be the only one lucky blogger to walk away their lucky draw goodie bag!

Thank you so much Hada Labo! Thank you Liu Yen! I do treasure it as I am quite concerning onto my skincare routine knowing that great and natural , radiant complexion comes from a proper care of skincare routine, also it makes the process on putting on make up easier.

I am so lucky that I got this beauty brush given by Beauty Guru Liu Yen, all the way from Taiwan. The beauty brush is use to cleanse our face. It has dense amount of soft brush, that is gentle yet cleansing our face efficiently.

She noted that, many claim to have, and incorporate beauty products into their skincare routine. However, it doesn't show much effect on them even after using for pro-long time. Hence, Liu Yen said that we have to take note on the way we applied our skincare.

Me, for example. I use cotton pad to apply toner/lotion onto my skin. However, I no need to use cotton pad for Hada Labo Hydrating lotion, as the lotion has fine particle that can penetrate into our skin. Hence, the best way to apply is to apply it after cleansing our face, and pour 2 or 3 drops onto our dry, clean fingers before massage circularly onto our skin until it is completely absorbed.

Other goodie in my goodie bag, the Hada Labo exfoliating face wash. I also bought the pink bottle of moisturiser as mine going to be empty soon.

Talking about the Hada Labo Exfoliating Face Wash, you will want to try it if you have stubborn black head on your nose like me. Although I can't be 100% sure of the effect. Cause I do use different brand of face wash on different day.

I found out that my nose has become slightly red after using exfoliating face wash. Then I looked closer into the red nose area, that was when i was quite taken aback that the stubborn blackhead on my nose has become much, very very much, obviously more fine.

Actually it looks like it diminishes my blackhead at the first glimpse, but upon closer inspection, I realised that those mini pore which was blackhead previously has become so clean and so fine, or simply it has gone. The only things that didn't happen is that, it is not 100% gone, but I am so happy that almost 80% of them gone!

Can you imagine, those stubborn blackhead which has been residing on  my nose for years has been effective wash away just in several times of face washing?

Of course, I am so happy as I never expect it to happen! If you are the user of  Hada Labo Exfoliating Face Wash, let me know if the same thing happens to you too!

Ending this post with a lovely shot with my favourite her. <3 nbsp="" p="">

Equip yourself with UV Shield and Brace for the Hot Weather

Earlier this year, Malaysians experienced nice cool weather for over a week. Many loved the unusual cool weather that is experienced more commonly in four season countries while some prefer a warmer climate. However, no one enjoys extreme hot climate with temperature soaring above 35°C.

As we approach February, the temperature seemed to have been rising and this hot climate could last till March/April. During this time of the year, we perspire more, the heat starts to affect our mood and our skin feels burnt when we are outdoors. In a recent news report, the Meteorological Department has warned the public that the level of ultraviolet (UV) radiation is at its extreme high and it could reach up to an index reading of 15 in the afternoon on a clear day. Any reading above 11 is considered as extreme, according to the international standard measurement of the level of UV radiation exposure. Before it takes a toll on you, shield yourself from the strong UV rays and the scorching heat. Get your UV shields ready before you step out and expose yourself to the sun and heat.

What are UV shields? Among some of the common UV shields would include an umbrella, a broad rim hat, ultra-thin jacket with UV protection, UV sleeves, sunglasses, sunblock, and whitening skincare which is ideal for summer and a hot climate such as ours to ensure that skin remains bright and flawless!

Here are 5 tips from Mamonde to help you cope with the hot weather that we are experiencing now:

1.     Stay Indoors and Surround Yourself with Flowers

It is best to stay indoors as much as you can to protect yourself from the scorching hot sun. Surround yourself with flowers as flowers are known as a source of happiness and the floral scents lifts the spirit and relaxes you.

I have recently received this preserved flower. It looks pretty in the day, and exude that aesthetic and romantic atmosphere at the night. Best of all, this is a real flower that can last for at least 1 year. It is perfect to create a relaxing atmosphere at home. But if you have to spend time outdoors then ensure to pack the necessary UV shields with you and also a bottle of mist to hydrate your skin.

2.     Drink Cooling Floral Teas to Combat the Heat

Cooling teas are known to combat the summer heat. Most cooling tea infusions are made from dried flowers and leaves such as Chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, lotus leaves and mulberry leaves. Preparation for these cooling teas are easy and can be done at home. To sweeten your tea, just add honey or rock sugar.

3.     Infuse your Food with Edible Flowers

The hot weather can take a toll on you with heavy perspiration and the heat certainly does not leave you in a good mood. Edible flowers are therapeutic as they contain nutrients and benefits the body. Rose for example is a popular edible flower. The petals contain about 95 percent water and they also contain vitamin C. Cooking with rose petals also makes you feel good. Bright coloured edible flowers are a good source of antioxidants and they also contain other vitamins and minerals that are essential to the body. Therefore, including edible flowers in your food intake during this hot season is ideal as it helps to replenish lost nutrients and minerals.

4.     Shield your Skin with Calendula

The hot weather requires you to shield your skin from UVA and UVB. Use not just any ordinary sunblock but one that has restorative properties. A sunblock that contains Calendula plant extracts offer additional benefits to the skin apart from protecting it from UV. Calendula promotes fast healing from burns and inflammation; and it also has restorative properties that infuse the skin with a youthful glow. If you are outdoors, it is recommended that you reapply the sunscreen every two hours especially when the sun is hottest between 1pm to 4pm.

5.     Apply Whitening Care for A Flawless Radiant Skin
The whitening line is especially popular during summer to maintain bright flawless skin despite the effects of the heat and UV. Mamonde’s Pure White – whitening range combines whitening and anti-aging care to dispel effects caused by the sun. It is formulated using only the buds of the white Magnolia flowers before blooming, which contain the highest content of the active ingredients to aid in removing signs of old age, blemishes and yellow skin tone in exchange for a brighter and fairer complexion. Mamonde Pure White Ultra Active Line includes the Pure White Ultra Active Skin Softener, Pure White Ultra Active Emulsion, Pure White Ultra Active Essence, and Pure White Ultra Active Cream.
